@task Makes Gartner's Magic Quadrant

Gartner publishes an annual Magic Quadrant of companies it recommends to those considering new project and portfolio management solutions. The 2007 Magic Quadrant includes @task as one of the 22 recommended.  "We are extremely honored to be one of the companies represented on Gartner’s Magic Quadrant," said AtTask CEO Scott Johnson.  "@task is a relatively new offering in that group, but brings an exciting approach to PPM. We are committed to delivering enterprise PPM tools that are easy to use and pose little risk to the organization in terms of adoption and disruption."

PPM Summit in Boston, MA

AtTask exhibited at Gartner’s PPM Summit with a campaign entitled "Welcome to PMO Heaven."  CIOs, PMO executives and project managers were introduced to project and capacity planning in @task—new tools to help manage the entire project lifecycle by answering questions like, “What are the best projects to work on?" "Which projects can I do?" and "How will unplanned projects affect my current plan?"

@task for iPhone

AtTask has released a widget for Apple's new iPhone. Already a leader with accessibility for WAP 2.0 enabled devices, AtTask has just taken mobile project management to a new level.

"If you give everyone in your company an iPhone and an @task account, you’ll have happy employees with substantially increased productivity," said Scott Johnson, CEO in a recent press release.

Did You Know?

Issues can be converted to tasks, projects, and now . . . project requests!

For issues that escalate to the point where they require more detailed attention, @task lets you easily convert them into tasks, project requests, or even full-scale stand alone projects depending on the scope of work required to complete the issue

To convert an issue, follow these steps:

  1. When viewing the issue, click the appropriate “Convert to” links in the left-hand contextual navigation menu
  2. Set other fields as necessary to schedule the project. The issue name of the issue being converted will populate this field automatically; change the name if necessary. (Note: For projects, you can also select a template if the processes for this project are already defined in a template.)

When the “Preserve Issue” checkbox is checked the issue will remain in the system. When the “Preserve Originator” checkbox is checked the user that submitted the issue will automatically be added to the task, project request or project team.

To watch an example of an issue being converted into a project:

  1. Go to http://www.attask.com/app-support-i18n/
  2. Click on the link 'Multimedia Training' in the left bar
  3. Select the video size you want to watch by clicking on it next to 'Converting Issues to Projects' under 'Managing Resources'
