What If You Could See The Future?

Next month marks the launch of @task's Project Planner—free for enterprise customers.  Project Planning allows you to see the impact of a new project on your budget and workflow before accepting the project.  You can evaluate which projects offer the combination of the greatest benefits and the lowest risk.  Plus, you can adjust the priority of your projects to achieve maximum utilization from your teams . . . all within a few clicks.  Watch for this powerful release in June 2007.

Did You Know?
You Can Apply Multiple Templates to a Single Project.

By Devin Parker, Support Guru

When my wife and I go to our favorite Mexican restaurant, I stick to the combination meals.  Ordering is simple and effective.  My wife, on the other hand, prefers to order ala carte.  She’ll pick and choose from the menu options to select only the items she really wants. The same philosophy applies to using templates within @task.

Templates make creating a new project very simple and effective.  But what if a template that defines the entire project is too restrictive?  In this situation, it is very useful to apply multiple templates to a single project.

In simplest terms, you can prepare a selection of “work start” templates, “work process templates” and “work completion” templates from which you can mix and match, ala carte, to get what you need.  This offers incredible flexibility without giving up the uber-efficiency gained with templates.
