@task Version 4 R6 –
Release Notes
Work
Smart. Work Happy
New Features
WeÕve been very busy the past few months adding great new features to @task. Read on to see whatÕs new with @task.
New @task Enterprise Features
@task Enterprise adds project lifecycle management and powerful integration functionality to @task Professional. With executive team tools that deliver real-time strategic planning capabilities, @task Enterprise is jam-packed with great productivity tools to help your enterprise get more work done. @task Enterprise includes the following new features:
The Capacity Planner allows you to organize your resources into resource pools, and then assign projects to each pool with full visibility of your resources and utilization.
Built with the latest Flash and AJAX technology, the Capacity Planner is like a game of Tetris, allowing you to drag and drop requested projects into your current project portfolio and instantly see how you will affect other current and planned projects. Once everything fits together, your plan delivers full utilization.
No other PPM tool on the market today is able to more closely tie strategic planning activities all the way to project planning like @task Enterprise can.
Given a companyÕs need for strategic planning, schedule prediction, cost tracking, document management, and time tracking, @task Enterprise gives developers all the tools they need to leverage these elements in other systems company-wide. @task Enterprise customers receive integration tools for MS Outlook and Salesforce.com, as well as a software developer kit (SDK), which allows your own development teams to integrate with @task via SOAP APIs resulting in unparalleled custom integration.
In addition to our first-class customer support services, @task Enterprise customers receive unlimited phone support (For customers with 50 or more Enterprise licenses).
New @task Professional Features
Hit the ground running with @task
Kick-Starts. Designed to give you industry-specific functionality, Kick-Starts are downloadable modules that help you load @task with
typical roles, sample projects, and project templates tailored to your
industry. Born out of customer feedback, Kick-Starts let you start getting work
done from the get-go and learn @task by using it, significantly reducing your
setup time and learning curve.
@task
Smart Reports add intelligence to your custom-built @task report views without
the need to learn a reporting language or use a third party tool.
Smart
Reports allows customization of report views using logic definitions for custom
values, background colors, text colors, and CSS support. Viewing business
intelligence through customized report views provides relevant information to
make dynamic decisions and achieve desired results.
The
creation of advanced views in Smart Reports allows report customization with
full CSS scripting. The power of viewing your reports, your way, is at your
fingertips.
Email Templates enable you to customize your standard set of @task generated email responses. With increased content flexibility, we have included configurable delivery times for notifications. Reminder Notifications incorporate Email Templates, and are delivered on user defined trigger events. Used together, Reminder Notifications and Email Templates are another way that you can notify the people you want, when you want.
@taskÕs
software engineers are continually looking for ways to make @task more
efficient and user-friendly. To that end, @task has made the following product
fixes; while the list below highlights some of the more significant fixes that
have been made over the last several months, it is certainly not comprehensive.
